Social Contribution
Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Educational Sciences values the transformation of educational and research activities into social benefit, and supports the sharing of scientific knowledge, academic accumulation, and experience in the field of education with different segments of society.
Our Institute aims to develop the social responsibility awareness of its students and academic staff, and to contribute to society through activities carried out in the fields of education, culture, art, environment, social responsibility, and volunteering.
Activities carried out in this direction are conducted in cooperation with public institutions, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders, while encouraging the active participation of students and the coming together of different disciplines.
Our Areas of Social Contribution
Seminars, conferences, trainings, workshops, and informational activities are organized to share knowledge and experience in the field of educational sciences with society. Through activities carried out in various fields such as academic writing, research and ethics, project development, media literacy, career, and education, it is aimed to expand knowledge sharing.
Social responsibility activities are carried out to develop social awareness and a sense of volunteering. Through these initiatives, in which students actively participate, it is aimed to strengthen the awareness of individual and social responsibility.
Initiatives are carried out to support individuals who face various barriers to education and participation in social life. Through practices such as barrier-free art and accessible art workshops, it is aimed to support the participation of individuals with diverse needs in educational, artistic, and social activities.
Through collaborative efforts carried out with schools and other educational institutions, the transfer of academic knowledge and experience in the field of educational sciences to practical fields is supported. Trainings, workshops, seminars, and awareness-raising activities are conducted for teachers, students, and educational stakeholders.
Collaborations are developed with non-governmental organizations, public institutions, and other stakeholders in order to reach wider audiences with activities addressing societal needs. The joint efforts carried out within this scope aim to enhance social benefit and widespread impact.
Exhibitions, workshops, cultural events, and interdisciplinary studies are carried out by leveraging the power of art and culture in raising social awareness. The preservation of cultural heritage, the development of social sensitivity through art, and the promotion of diverse perspectives are prioritized.
Activities are carried out to develop environmental awareness and promote a sustainable lifestyle. Through efforts conducted in the fields of recycling, environmental awareness, sustainable education, and digital sustainability, it is aimed to foster a culture of sustainability.
Social contribution activities carried out within our Institute are monitored annually and recorded.

It is aimed to diversify and sustain the joint efforts carried out with public institutions, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders.
Social contribution activities carried out by our Institute are monitored and evaluated. Efforts are conducted to enhance the quality and widespread impact of social contribution by taking into account the level of participation, the target audience reached, stakeholder feedback, and the outcomes obtained.
It is aimed to consider the results derived from social contribution activities in the planning of new initiatives and to sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
